Field reporting automation for an installation company
Challenge
Installers submitted work details through informal channels. The manager then transferred those reports into a spreadsheet for payroll and management review.
A separate employee spent each month only on that transfer — a full monthly salary for copying data. There was still no clean, consistent export.
Solution
- We built a field reporting platform where installers submit structured reports from the field.
- Each report is formatted into an Excel table, sent to a work chat, and stored in a shared operational table.
- The system also supports staff management, settings, and payout workflows around completed reports.
Result
The manager stopped filling the spreadsheet by hand, and the extra salary line for that transfer disappeared.
Building the platform cost about one month of that employee's pay — the expense paid for itself in a single cycle. Now the manager only exports the summary and sends it to senior leadership.
